I thought she was still too blinded by KT’s pretty to want that type of attention from KT. Hmmmm….because her kiss (her kiss) is on his lips may have changed HER as much as HIM. Con’t…..when gt and jm act like they’re the only two people in the room.

Supporting characters

I can totally see why she ran in that direction. Then YR is there to be her escape and do more of the grand romantic gestures she wants from her love in theory but in reality it’s not him she wants it from. And, who says KT Oma, who is willing to give of herself to help EVERYONE else has not also taken JM under her wing? She IS pushing her out of the nest before JM has time to get hurt. When I went back and rewatched eps, I did notice that in scenes with the three of them, Jang Mi’s eyes are almost always following YR (he is easy on the eyes, I must admit), and her body language changes whenever YR comes over. When YR says to Se Ah that he thinks Ki Tae is serious, but Jang Mi isn’t, I thought that hit the nail on the head.

Either way she’s a crappy mom, but at least in this situation she wouldn’t be trying to break up a real relationship between her son and a girl that actually loves him. Full really is being unbearably terrible to JM, and. I did enjoy the unlikely family situation of sorts that the 3 main characters had going on full parts of these episodes. And she’s going to have to start with his mom. Up until this episode I had a lot of compassion for her, because she really is living a tough life. Her husband steps out on her, her son doesn’t want anything to do with her, and she’s built such a thick cocoon of self-preservation that she barely has any personality of her own left.

You know, I hate how manipulative this lady is, but I have to give her props for being good at it. Wealthy plastic surgeon Gong Ki Tae is a successful and happy bachelor who does not want to find himself a wife. He believes that his life is perfectly planned, and being single is the only option he accept. However, his family is badgering him to marry. In an effort to get his parents off his back about the constant string of blind dates and marriage prospects, Ki Tae purposely brings Joo Jang Mi home to meet his parents posing as his girlfriend, certain that they’ll never approve of her.

She’s got to be strong and find her self-respect, so that Ki-tae can see that she’s capable of being a partner who is fully on his side, and who can get along with his mother but not cave in to her. Jang-mi tries on another fancy wedding dress, but Ki-tae’s mother just says she’s chubbier than she thought and shouldn’t wear revealing dresses. A more demure dress has the mothers worrying over the high price tag. Jang-mi thinks to herself that she had fantasies about her wedding gown like any other girl — she wouldn’t have cared if it were a simple dress, but only wanted to stand in it in front of her love and be told she’s pretty.

Meanwhile, Gi Tae is eager to remain single, but as his family insists he marries, he proposes a fake engagement to Jang Min. I also maybe don’t see the JM/YR relationship to be as big of an obstacle as you do. I just see a very superficial relationship at this point that is more a result of JM’s refusal to be alone than it is anything else.

I can see how Jang Mi might get railroaded into it for a while, but I thought it was really sad how KT’s mom also walked over her mom. And even worse was how JM’s mom just put up with it all – makes me wonder if JM got some of her characteristics from her mother. So at the end of episode 8 my heart says don’t get in the car.. But then when you look through the preview for next weeks show there are things I don’t really want to see..

Marriage Not Dating Episode 14

None of her friends/extended family respect her, her husband cheats, and her son wants nothing to do with her. She masks her own feelings in order to accommodate those around her. She has no real identity of her own so she’s wraps herself in the business of keeping up appearances because that’s the only thing she can do. This is all very similar to what Jang Mi is doing by continuing the whole fake marriage. And nobody needs for her to do that more than Ki-tae.

She says that she will take Jang-mi to do everything that needs doing. But her big plan is to tell Ki-tae’s mom that her mother had hemorrhoid surgery. Because that’s less embarrassing than plastic surgery? She asks Ki-tae’s mother to push back the date of the family meeting, and Mom agrees, though she looks suspicious.

I want KT to have to do some work to win JM — after all she’s been through, it natural for her to retreat to someone like YR who seems to offer uncomplicated affection and support. And a little more increasing sexual tension along the way is all to the good. I’m more worried that if they declare their feelings too soon, we’ll be right back in conventional rom-com land, trying to fill episodes with gimmicky obstacles to the path of true love. I really like this show, but I’m at the point of beyond frustration.

Moving her to his private domain of security on an island of one. He is now lying to keep them apart…yet…he speaks the words….and stay still. KT’s mom cannot solely object to JM because of her socio-economic situation.

She will be known, and that will be infinitely more satisfying than cycling through countless superficial relationships. She wants to be wanted, but she just showed up and decided what she wants more is to be accepted and loved. She wants real connection and Yeo Reum is giving that to her because Gi Tae’s playground tactics and lack https://datingstream.org of directness isn’t much different from Se Ah’s. Se-ah meets Ki-tae at his car, returning his phone and telling him that Jang-mi needs him, offering to take him to where she is. Ki-tae looks extremely wary, but Se-ah assures him that she wants to be on his side and holds out the memory card with the photos of Jang-mi and Yeo-reum.

Of course for the sake of the comedy it’s turned up to the next level, but there are actually people like that (I know some of them), so it’s not like the whole idea of it is unbelievable. And it’s not like Jang Mi is doing anything inconsistent with what has been shown to be her character. Maybe soon he’ll have a complete breakdown and reveal he is truly an infamous serial killer!!! (Muahahahaha) Or you know, that he really loves JM or something……
